    Is work experience is compulsory?

    • Bill says:

      Dear Charishma,

The difference between a requirement and a standard can be a very fine line. Though many universities will not set a minimum work experience requirement, they will have strictly upheld standards or averages. For example, the average W.P. Carey full-time MBA student has 4.8 years of work experience.

At the undergraduate level of education, it is not necessary to have work experience in your field of study. As you advance your education, the more and more important and beneficial it becomes to show dedication to and excellence in a particular career path.

      Hope this helps!
      Bill
