Full-time work experience is strongly encouraged, however, it is not a requirement for admission. Incoming students have an average of three to five years of work experience before applying to business school. There is a selective program for rising college seniors who want to apply directly to the Yale School of Management called the Silver Scholars Program that allows a handful of graduating seniors without any work experience to enroll immediately following graduation.
